Grateful

You would think the more money one makes, the more one is grateful for that money, yet my experiences demonstrate the opposite (is it selection bias?) You would think charging the equivalent of $12 for a coffee would make a barista humble but no, if anything perhaps it makes one more arrogant.

I think, as always, the Lord shows me somewhat painfully how this applies to myself, in other words – hypocrite.

If you live thoroughly you should realize fear is healthy. Without it we so quickly forget to wonder/be grateful for what we do have. Fear of no peace from anxiety, no sanitary comfort/environment, fear of starving, fear of more work; and of course now, fear for war – because of the Lord.
